PBSO & Family Of Seth Adams Settle Suit For $2.5 Million

The parents of a man killed by a deputy at his family's plant nursery in Loxahatchee has settled a wrongful death lawsuit with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.

An attorney for the family of Seth Adams says they reached a $2.5 million settlement.

In 2012, Sergeant Michael Custer was working undercover, conducting surveillance on a group of bank robbers when he confronted Adams in the parking lot of the nursery where he lived and worked.  That confrontation resulted in the 24 year old Adams being shot.

The man's parents filed suit against the Sheriff's Office and it went to trial, but ended in a mistrial in March.
