The University of Florida has suspended seven players for its season opener next month.
Those players include star wide receiver Antonio Callaway, who was the leading receiver for the Gators last year.
The head coach released a written statement yesterday that Callaway, James Houston, Kadeem Telfort, Keivonnis Davis, Jordan Smith, Richerd Desir-Jones and Ventrell Miller will not play in Texas September 2nd against the Wolverines. He said "We have a small group of players that have made some choices that are extremely disappointing. Action has been taken."
He also said the team will use this as a learning opportunity.
