  • Governor DeSantis made five judicial appointments filling vacancies on the 18th Judicial Circuit Court, Duval County Court, Escambia County Court and two on the Miami-Dade County Court
  • The MSD Safety Commission concluded that Broward’s current Emergency Management System is a “mess” that can’t be fixed in its current operating state. A proposed solution includes removing the system from the County. Chairman Bob Gualtieri stated:“Every day that this system is not replaced, there is a public safety and officer safety issues here in Broward”
  • Scot Peterson was ordered to remain jailed while awaiting next steps in his legal process. He faces charges totaling up to 97 years in jail
  • Palm Beach County’s School District became the first in Florida to allow for students to use medical marijuana on school grounds with proper state authorization
