Florida Saves 20-Thousand Acres In Everglades From Oil Drilling

Governor Ron DeSantis begins the first official day of his 2nd year in office with a major announcement in Everglades Holiday Park. The state has ironed out a deal to buy 20-thousand acres of land in the heart of the Everglades currently slated for oil drilling in western Broward. This marks the largest wetland acquisition in a decade. Governor DeSantis calls this a win/ win for the environment and Florida residents and tourists now guaranteed the heart of the Everglades will be here for future generations to enjoy.
