SunPass Text Scam Makes The Rounds In South Florida

There's a SunPass scam making the rounds in South Florida.

Some customers report getting suspicious text messages that claim they owe money on their SunPass accounts and asking them to click a link to make payment.

SunPass shared an image of one such text message which references a charge for usage of 'Florida Express Lanes,' and provides the link to 'avoid extra fees.'

SunPass says this is a phishing ploy, aimed at collecting your personal information.

The services says they will never ask for immediate payment via text.
