We met the families who will be moving into the Newsradio 1290 WJNO and Kool 105.5 homes.

As part of the "Home for the Holidays" campaign with Habitat for Humanity of Palm Beach County, we urge you to volunteer some time hammering nails, donate whatever you can monetarily or through the Habitat Re-store and Thrift store.

Moving into the WJNO home will be Fredo Izor, his wife Soeurette and their two children, Travis and Samuel.  Fredo has been spending his energy helping to build his own home and others inside the Kennedy Estates II community in Jupiter.  That's when he's not walking to work at Walmart.

Gisela Flores works as an animal trainer at PetCo.  She'll be moving into the Kool 105.5 home, once she and others are finished building it.  Gisela was actually working on the site before Thursday's Groundbreaking Ceremony.

Each sponsored family with Habitat for Humanity must put in 400 "sweat equity" hours and pay off a 30 year, interest-free mortgage.

Roxanne Jacobs is the local Habitat affiliate's Director of Development.  She says her fundraising budget is $2.1 million this time around and the goal is to have both Flores and the Izor family into their homes by Thanksgiving.
