If you need to repair your vehicle, it will likely cost you more to have it done in Florida than in most other states. 

Florida is the 3rd costliest state in which to own a car according to North Palm Beach-based Bankrate.com. One of the reasons why Florida is so pricey is because of car repair costs, about 10 percent higher than the rest of the nation.

Florida drivers also pay 27 percent more for insurance, with an average policy costing over $1,100.
