Florida's unemployment rate ticked up a tenth of a percentage point from April.
6.3 percent of our state's workforce was jobless in May. It's the same as the nationwide unemployment rate for last month.
Palm Beach County's jobless rate inched up to 5.9 percent from 5.6 in April. But it's down from May of 2013's rate of 7.3 percent.
Martin County's jobless rate also increased from 5.7 percent to 6.1 percent in May.
