Python Hunter Brings In 130 Pound, 17 Foot Long Snake

A python hunter in the Everglades calls it the biggest snake he ever caught in his life.

The South Florida Water Management District is holding the "python eradication project," and paying hunters to catch the big snakes.

According to reports, the biggest snake caught during the hunt was a 130-pound python, measuring nearly 17-feet long, brought in by Burmese python hunter Dusty "The Wildman" Crum.

Florida officials say 78 eggs were taken out of the python, meaning dozens of other pythons will not be around for next year's hunt.
