For "Protecting the Palm Beaches", we honor an officer who was just recognized this week by the North Palm Beach Police Department.
Field Training Officer Edward Ciezak was investigating a rash of overnight auto burglaries in one residential community when he noticed a suspicious vehicle in a park.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from another municipality. Using surveillance video, Officer Ciezak identified a man who matched the description of a missing person.
That suspect was taken into custody for grand theft auto, as well as two car burglaries and the burglary of a home among other cases.
