A Dwyer High School student was arrested this week after being accused of bringing a gun onto a school bus.
The 16-year old was picked up by Riviera Beach Police officers after he got off the bus on West 23rd Street Tuesday afternoon. He allegedly pulled out the handgun while on the bus.
Cops say the teen had the weapon with him when they arrested him. It's not known whether the student had the gun with him while on the school campus or if it was loaded.
The school district has been providing additional security and officers at the school and parents were notified.
