New information is known about a car accident involving tennis star and Palm Beach Gardens resident Venus Williams.

78-year old Jerome Barson died two weeks after the car he was riding in collided with Williams' vehicle as she was pulling out of her development onto Northlake Boulevard.

The medical examiner's office has ruled that the man died from complications of blunt trauma as a result of the collision, which happened back in June.

Weeks after the crash, police said Williams "lawfully entered the intersection."

Barson's wife was driving the couple's Hyundai at the time.  She has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Williams.
