Mobility Study Results To Be Shared With WPB Residents

Officials in the city of West Palm Beach say traffic should soon get a little better along Okeechobee Boulevard.

The city will hold another public hearing next week to share the findings of a mobility study that was conducted over the summer with the help of a traffic consultant and residents' input.

"We're excited because we feel that the solutions that we've come up with truly do meet that objective of balancing these transportation systems to make it a more viable, with better choices for our citizens."

Assistant City Administrator Scott Kelly tells me that both long term and short term recommendations will be shared."

Well there's something such as, as I mentioned, signal timing that could be accomplished...hopefully within months, if not a year."

The meeting happens next Tuesday evening at the City Hall commission chambers.
