Trending – School Police: Single-Point Entry Wanted For All Local Schools

Safety and what can be done to protect our kids in school was the topic of a town hall meeting last night in West Palm Beach.  City Commissioner Shanon Materio hosted the meeting at the South Olive Community Center and 18-year old Hannah Karcinell was a special guest.  She is a senior at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland.  Hannah said lost one of her best friends. 

 

Major B.K. Davis with Palm Beach County School District Police says he wants all 187 schools in the county to have a single-point of entry within the next four years. 

 

The School Board meets in a closed session today to review school security and decide what changes to implement.
