Hysterical Headline(s) (Funny or Absurd) for February 23rd

Bottom Line: These are the daily doses of nonsense in the media and my hot takes on them...

In this case it's not the headline that's absurd it's CNN...

Excerpt:  CNN’s Insane Anti-Gun Townhall Will Only Help The NRA

So, thanks a lot for adding to our discourse, CNN.

Last night’s CNN town hall amounted to a massive in-kind donation to the National Rifle Association. It was absolutely astounding. The problem wasn’t the poor students on stage – though a few of them were, as young people are, overwhelmed by the moment and engaged in disrespectful behavior toward the guests – the problem was a crowd that would cheer anything and everything anti-gun, including in one of the more extreme moments shouting “You’re a murderer” at NRA representative Dana Loesch. One Parkland High School JROTC member refused to participate after being told he couldn’t ask his question about having armed guards in school. The crowd even booed when Loesch brought up a rape survivor who is pro-gun.

Hot Take: Right on target. What's more is that I only was able to catch a little under a half hour of it live and already my blood was boiling by the campaign rally/protest feel tolerated by the forum (and given the level of politicking and venom being spewed was probably a good thing for a night I was already two hours past my bedtime for...). I went back and sampled some of what I missed. It was truly abhorrent and offensive in about every possible way unless you want nothing but a pound of flesh with everyone you want to blame but those responsible for the shooting. A disgusting political stunt with students used as the weapons of CNN's choice. And yes, to the point of the story - don't be surprised when the NRA's fundraising numbers rise in the wake of that offensiveness to sensible, thoughtful people looking for an honest exchange of ideas...

Until tomorrow...
