Hot – $1.3 Trillion Spending Bill Sent To Trump, Who Now Threatens Veto

President Trump this morning says he is considering vetoing the spending plan passed by Congress because it fails to include a deal that would include protection for “dreamers” in exchange for a border wall.  The Senate passed the budget in a late-night vote.

President Trump on Friday threatened to veto a $1.3 trillion spending bill passed by Congress over its failure to include a deal that would include protection for illegal immigrants brought to the country as children in return for funding for a wall -- a move that would likely lead to a government shutdown. 

Trump tweeted that he was considering the veto, saying that recipients of the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program “have been totally abandoned by the Democrats.” He added that the border wall, which he said was "desperately needed for our National Defense" is not fully funded.
