Honoring Detective Jennifer Brashear, PBC's Police Officer Of The Year

Jennifer Brashear

For Protecting the Palm Beaches, we honor the 2017 Police Officer of the Year...so named this week by the Palm Beach County Association of Chiefs of Police.

The honor was bestowed upon Palm Beach Gardens Police Detective Jennifer Brashear on Thursday.

During the past year, she completed several significant investigations involving violent crimes against children and sexual assault cases.

In one case cited, Detective Brashear was off duty with her family at Dubois Park in Jupiter and rescued three young girls who nearly drowned.  One of those girls wound up in "critical guarded" condition, but she eventually recovered enough to be released thanks to the diligence and heroic actions of Brashear.

She is also the recipient of the Valor Award & Community Service Award presented by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce.
