WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — Leslie is the sixth hurricane of the 2018 season, with no direct impact on the United States expected.
Distant swells from Hurricane Leslie located more than 1400 miles away will continue to propagate into our waters through the week.
The easterly winds that have blown across South Florida the past few days will continue Wednesday, with growing chances of rain.
Wednesday stays mainly dry with partly sunny skies and only a 20% shower chance. Highs in the upper 80s.
Increasing moisture leads to a 50% shower/storm chance on Thursday. Lower rain chances again into the weekend.
Beach/Boating Wednesday: Wind: E/NE 15 - 20 knots gusts to 25 knots. Seas 4-6 feet Palm Beach Co., 5-8 feet on the Treasure Coast. Small Craft Cautioned and a high rip current risk all areas.
