Political realities that make you go hmm... 

Excerpt: The provocative Donald Trump certainly seems to be disliked by a majority of African-American professional athletes, cable news hosts, academics and the Black Congressional caucus. Yet there are subtle but increasing indications that his approval among other African-Americans may be reaching historic highs for a modern Republican president. 

Some polls have indicated that Trump's approval rating among black voters is close to 20 percent. That is far higher than the 8 percent of the African-American vote that Trump received on Election Day 2016. 

Bottom Line: So once again those who live in the real world might view President Trump differently than celebrities and those who’ve carved out careers exploiting race for personal benefit...who’d have guessed? You mean record low black unemployment rates combined with an average increase of 6.7% in net take home pay might have actually led to some of those people wanting to support him?  

Black Americans have benefited more than any other ethnicity on a relative basis from the Trump economy. Once again, you can lie to people about what they don’t know but you can’t successfully lie to them about what is or isn’t in their wallet and the job they have (or don’t have as the case may be).  

Bottom Line: What do you think of when you read/hear that headline? Here’s the crazy part. In that article and sadly to much of the country that’s not a joke, it’s an exciting prospect. Now, in case you needed any additional motivation to vote...
