  • Governor DeSantis signed the Patients Savings Act into law. This law mandates greater cost transparency in advance of most non-emergency healthcare – including pharmaceutical costs
  • DeSantis also signed a bill into law mandating that all local sales tax proposals must be on general election ballots
  • Governor DeSantis reissued a proclamation honoring the fallen at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando three years ago. His original proclamation omitted a specific LGBTQ reference which drew backlash from activists
  • The state’s Blue Green Algae Task Force created by Governor DeSantis held its first meeting yesterday. One of the issues that appears to be on the front burner is treating contaminated water prior to its arrival into Lake O’, which would reduce the nutrients in the water that often produce algae
