  • The official ground breaking for Brightline’s expansion to Orlando took place yesterday. The current ETA for the completion of the expansion project is the 4th quarter of 2021. The top speed for the train will be 125 mph. Brightline also announced they’re now in the planning stages for a Tampa expansion upon the completion of this project.
  • Governor DeSantis officially signed the bill into law funding $10 million worth of apprenticeships through CareerSource's Apprentice Florida program
  • Nikki Fried held a press conference announcing that CBD products being sold in Florida will likely soon "coming off the shelves” as the products aren’t legal under Florida law. She indicated enforcement will be coming soon
  • Florida Tax Watch backed Governor DeSantis’s vetoes on Monday, citing 49 of the 106 “Budget Turkeys” they’d identified were vetoed by the governor
