  • In the annual US News and World Report Rankings for Public Universities the University of Florida ranked 7th- the highest rating for a Florida University to date and the first Florida university to ever crack the top ten on the list.
  • Florida’s latest report on the Hepatitis A outbreak shows that nearly 2,500 reported cases have now occurred in 2019, including another 49 reported cases over the prior week, demonstrating that the outbreak isn’t over. Nearly 5 times as many cases have now been reported in 2019 compared to last year
  • Florida AG Ashley Moody has joined 47 other states in the Google antitrust probe into potential anti competitive practices by the search giant which also is the parent of YouTube and the Android platform. This comes on back of Florida’s announced probe of similar practices at Facebook
  • For the start of the 2019-2020 school year only 7 of Florida’s 67 school districts decided to participate in the Guardian program for educators. No south Florida districts are among them
