  • On back of President Trump’s proposed ban for flavored ecigs and vapes, state Representative Jackie Toledo is proposing an increase in the smoking age, including ecigs, in Florida from 18 to 21. It’ll been considered during the upcoming state session.
  • Florida’s gaining yet another New York Billionaire. Legendary investor Carl Icahn is moving from New York to Biscayne Bay for tax purposes. Carl is worth over $20 billion – the 47th richest person in the world.
  • Curaleaf introduced a cannabis tablet for medical marijuana users. It’s a first of its kind product in our state that’s designed for easy consumption. The company has 26 stores in Florida and is looking to continue its expansion. 
  • The South Florida Water Management District is expanding the Python hunting program. Governor Ron DeSantis directed the district to double the number of authorized hunters in the Python Elimination Program. Through the program more than 2,500 pythons have been removed from the Everglades since March of 2017.
