  • The Palm Beach County School District opened an investigation into a test question appearing to students at Watson B. Duncan Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens. The multiple-choice test question asked students to identify the 45th Pres; 2017; Republican; Real Estate businessman; Idiot. The school district has “reassigned” the teacher during this investigation and the Principal issued a letter to parents in which he said the question was inappropriate and demonstrated and unacceptable lack of good judgement.
  • Five people have been arrested in Pensacola as part of a sting operation to take out a dog fighting ring. They’ve been charged as federal criminals under the Animal Welfare Act. The US Attorney prosecuting said Dog fighting is a blight on humanity and has no place in Florida or anywhere else and that (the feds) will work with federal and local law enforcement agencies to root out the barbaric blood sport in Florida.
  • The CDC has confirmed the first death in Florida due to vaping. There are now 805 cases of illnesses and lung injuries directly related to vaping that have been documented by the CDC. Governor DeSantis said he’s working with the CDC on investigations into the industry and is considering executive action based on recommendations from the current investigations. The sales of vapes and ecigs has been banned in Massachusetts this week.
  • The US House passed Rep. Brian Mast’s South Florida Clean Coast Waster Act which would coincide with Florida’s Blue Green Algae Task force to combat algal blooms.
