  • Brightline and Boca officials are close to an agreement that would bring a new station to the city as early as late next year. Under the current deal Brightline would pay to relocate the community garden and share other related costs for the project. The biggest sticking point appears to be ironing out the details of a new parking garage that’s needed for the station.
  • A new study from Marijuana Business Daily points to medical marijuana use doubling in Florida year over year. Over 400,000 Floridians are now users of medicinal marijuana and Florida remains the 2nd fastest growth state in the country. 
  • While the Supreme Court weighs the legal merits of DACA, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services broke out current DACA recipients by state. Florida currently has 25,500 recipients. 
  • Governor DeSantis announced Florida received over $60 million in federal grants for various projects across the state from Jacksonville to Miami. The projects include features for autonomous vehicles, bike and pedestrian paths.
