Bar owners meeting with Florida's top business regulator in Tallahassee today to discuss reopening plans. Department of Business and Regulation Secretary Halsey Beshears says he wants to take a safe, step by step approach for reopening bars and breweries when the ban on serving drinks for on-site consumption is lifted. Adam Gersten,owner of Gramps' Wynwood, which has been shutdown since June 1st questions the validity of the order. Numerous owners have filed lawsuits against the state over the order which Governor DeSantis says will stay in place until COVID-19 cases decline. Some bars have gotten food licenses to allow them to stay open, the vast majority have been closed more days this year than they have been open.
