Martin County Class Sent Home After COVID Symptoms Arise In One Student

One Martin County classroom was sent home for 14 days after a student began showing symptoms of COVID-19.

The Martin County School District says a class at SeaWind Elementary has had to transition from in-person learning to remote learning due to the symptoms exhibited during the second day of school. It follows the criteria for reopening schools there, which also includes one school bus route shutting down for two weeks.

Parents are being notified.

A cleaning crew was sent to the school on Wednesday night.
