West Palm Beach To Start Allowing Outdoor Events Again

The city of West Palm Beach is giving the green light to large gatherings, but with COVID-19 restrictions.

Mayor Keith James has issued an Executive Order, taking effect on Wednesday, which allows events that require city services or permits to be held outdoors. They've been on hold since mid-March.

Applicants must submit a plan that provides enhanced coronavirus safety protocols with CDC guidance.

The event host must abide by those protocols, and the city holds the right to revoke a permit for noncompliance. Indoor events must have a cap of 50 percent capacity with social distancing.
