  • The news regarding COVID-19 infections improved a bit on Wednesday as the state reported under 14,000 new infections and the weekly average trend declined for the first time since Christmas, with just over 15,000 new infections reported on average over the past week. Related...
  • For the second day in a row Florida had its best day for vaccinations as efforts to expand vaccinations throughout the state have ramped up this week. Just over 49,000 immunizations with a first dose took place with an additional 11,000 Floridians receiving a second and final dose of a COVID vaccine. With 60,000 vaccinations taking place yesterday, Florida matched the Governor’s targeted near-term goal. The Florida Department of Health’s tracker now shows 646,327 Floridians who’ve received at least a first dose of a COVID vaccine. 61,151 people have received two doses completing the vaccination process.
  • Florida’s congressional delegation in the House of Representatives split along party lines regarding the impeachment of President Trump. All Democrats voted to impeach the President, while all Republicans voted against.
  • Zoo Miami is expanding its animal conservation efforts with a new interactive experience set to open Saturday. The five-year project has been completed due mostly to private donations including support from FPL.
