Sheriff's Concerned About The Country's New Old Immigration System

Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw is concerned about changes to U.S. immigration policies under President Biden.

"We're back to 'catch and release,' which doesn't make sense to anybody. And we're back to the flood gates opening, which you can see down there at the border, but it's also going to affect us. You've got this massive amount of people coming in."

He says there's been a steady number of boats loaded with illegal immigrants from various countries that are being stopped in the waters off Palm Beach.

"I mean the last boat we stopped, it had 11 people on it. Every one of them was sick. Every one of them had COVID. So, now you're going to take these people and let them go into the community."

The sheriff says the new process is the old process, prior to former President Trump, where the migrants are screened and given a notice to appear in court. He says most of the time, they don't show.
