  • Better news regarding new COVID-19 cases in Florida on Tuesday. For the first time in over a week there were fewer new cases than the prior week as the Florida Department of Health reported 5,062 new cases – which is about in line with the weekly trend at around 5,100.
  • Nearly 5.8 million Floridians have now been vaccinated with at least a first dose of a COVID vaccine based on the latest FDOH vaccine report. According to the report over 3.2 million Floridians have now completed their vaccine series. Related...
  • The Florida Department of Health is now investigating “dozens” of new COVID cases stemming from what are called “breakthrough” cases. These are people who’ve been fully vaccinated for at least 14 days and contract COVID-19.
  • According to transportation data company Inrix, Florida’s traffic has fully recovered to pre-pandemic levels. Last week marked the first time since the onset of the pandemic that’d occurred.
  • Amazon has finalized plans for four new, previously announced, delivery stations in South Florida. Sites in Fort Lauderdale, Homestead, Kendall and Miramar will be used to expand Amazon’s delivery footprint. Over 400 full-time jobs will be created paying a minimum of $15 per hour.
