Flags are flying at half-staff in West Palm Beach in memory of Officer Anthony Testa, who lost his battle with COVID-19 over the weekend.

Mayor Keith James says flags at City Hall and all city government facilities were lowered for three days beginning Monday. In a written statement, James offered his condolences to the Testa family as well as his fellow officers and co-workers.

The U.S. Army veteran used his medic skills on the job. In fact, West Palm Beach police say Testa was awarded six life-saving medals.

Testa leaves behind a wife and son.
