Trump’s Actions Are as Loud as His Words – Top 3 Takeaways

Trump’s Actions Are as Loud as His Words – Top 3 Takeaways – January 22nd, 2025

  1. Actions speak louder than words. The saying dates back to Puritans settling in the Americas in 1692 and it became popularized when published in the book Will and Doom (in 1895). It’s as true today as the day the Puritans established the saying 333 years ago. Actions do and always have spoken louder than words. It’s one of the key lessons the easily offended have learned over the past four years. President Trump’s policies and the effect on this country were generally popular during his first term but in the end some voters broke for Joe Biden because of Trump’s mean tweets. How’d that one work out? But thankfully most Americans realized this time that Donald Trump is needed to deliver the medicine this country and our world needs even if he doesn’t always have the best bedside manner. After all it’s always better to go with the best surgeon over the one who talks a good game. In the case of Donald Trump, he offers both. Being the anomalous force of nature that he is, he talks a big game. You might even say HUGE, but his actions are always at least that big too. The reason I’ve framed my top takeaway today around this concept is due to what President Trump has immediately said and done since becoming president. The president of the United States has three official levers to pull from when establishing executive positions. There are presidential proclamations, there are memorandums, and then there are executive orders. Each serves a specific purpose. President Trump wasted no time in breaking out all three. While Trump took approximately 200 executive actions on day 1... There were a total of 46 that...
  2. Required immediate action. Those came in the form of 26 executive orders, 12 presidential memorandums and four presidential proclamations. President Trump picked up where he left off on day 2 putting those into motion. But one of the most important questions of all is if even his executive actions, that call for action, are in fact being acted upon...that’s what I was digging into during Trump’s Day 2 and the answer is yes. Trump’s two biggest orders were declarations of a national emergency on border policy and energy. Starting with the border, immediately Customs and Border Patrol ended the Biden administration's CBP One app. responsible for facilitating the unlawful entry of nearly 1 million illegal immigrants into this country, there were literally 270,000+ additional processes in place to transport illegal immigrants into the United States through the app that were stopped in their place. A statement where the app used to be reads: Effective January 20, 2025, the functionalities of CBP One™ that previously allowed undocumented aliens to submit advance information and schedule appointments at eight southwest border ports of entry is no longer available, and existing appointments have been cancelled. That’s an immediate action and an immediate win. And that’s not the only immediate change that took place. According to the Texas DPS spokesman other immediate changes included the designation of cartels as foreign terrorist organizations which immediately allows state authorities like the Texas DPS and federal authorities like Border Patrol to coordinate information and to access information from intelligence agencies to identify gang and cartel members trafficking across the border and inside of our borders. Additionally, there’s monitored deterrence. With Donald Trump once again in place as Commander-in-Chief, and his executive actions in place, real-time activity at our southern border is 70% lower than it was a year ago today... And of course, those that attempt to game the asylum system (which has been almost all of them) to gain temporary entrance into the United States are now made to wait in Mexico for a court date. And those are just the immediate changes. Trump gave the Defense Department 30 days to come up with their military strategy for troop deployments to the southern border. There’s much more to come of course. Most notably once mass deportations commence. But already, yesterday, we did start to see criminal illegal immigrants' detention operations begin. Quoting Border czar Tom Homan to Fox News yesterday... Teams are out there as of today. So, the point is that yes, Trump talks a big game on the southern border, but his actions were immediately huge too and...
  3. President Trump literally stopped 300,000 illegal immigrants from entering this country on Day 1 with so much more to come. As for energy, immediate impacts are felt too... While moving energy policy isn’t as immediate as border policy, the effects are similar. Trump made it clear that American energy independence was once again our priority, and he used that authority to likewise enable immediate change. Among the changes already felt the lifting of the moratorium for liquefied natural gas projects. There were seven new natural gas plant projects shut down by the Biden-Harris administration (six in Louisiana, one in Texas). Trump’s immediate executive action has renewed the project approval process for those plants. As of yesterday, Trump’s executive action also put a halt to all wind leases in U.S. waters. Of course, much more will soon come as domestic energy companies are once again incentivized to harvest and produce energy – especially in Alaska which was highlighted in the president’s declaration. Also, yesterday all federal government DEI related positions were placed on leave with the intention to terminate their employment. As of 5 p.m. today all DEI offices and programs within the federal government will be closed and ended. There’s already more, much more to the story than just these examples but the point is – Trump's actions are proving to be at least as substantial as his words.
