- Iranian Americans throughout South Florida celebrated the fall of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, and dozens of top officials, in this weekend’s U.S. and Israeli-led military actions to eliminate the Iranian regime. The largest celebration was held on Biscayne Blvd. in Miami yesterday.
- Police departments throughout South Florida have stepped up patrols amid increased concerns of potential threats to places of worship, cultural centers and schools in the wake of the Iranian war. The FBI raised the threat level and a weekend attack in Austin Texas that left three dead and 14-injured is believed to have been a pro-Iranian Islamic terror attack.
- Florida Attorney General James Uthemeier announced that a two-day sting operation by state and local law enforcement agencies led to a total of 525 illegal gambling machines and $190,000 in illicit gambling proceeds being confiscated. The illegal gambling ring took place across Brevard, Duval, Flagler and Volusia counties.
- It’ll be a beautiful day with seasonal temps starting in the 60’s and topping out in the upper 70’s throughout the Palm Beaches and Treasure Coast. We can expect similar and slightly warmer weather throughout the week.
- Gas prices are about flat over the past week. The average price for regular unleaded in Florida is currently $2.88 per gallon. In Palm Beach County the average price is $3.05 per gallon, in Martin the average is $2.91, it’s $2.93 in St. Lucie, and in Indian River County the average is $2.92 per gallon.
