After 25 Years, 'Judge Judy' Will Wrap Production

After 25 seasons on the air, Judge Judy will wrap up production in 2021, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Set to appear Monday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the woman behind the bench herself, Judy Sheindlin, will officially break the news.

"Next year will be our 25th season, silver anniversary, and CBS, I think felt they wanted to optimally utilize the repeats of my program," she says in the taped segment. "Because now they have 25 years of reruns."

However, Sheindlin isn't putting down her gavel just yet! According to reports, she'll also announce a new show titled, Justice Judy, to follow. When asked where viewers can watch her new show, she simply replied "I can't tell you yet."

Judge Judy is currently one of the top-rated syndicated programs on TV, and averages about 9 million viewers a day. Sheindlin is the highest-paid personality on TV, earning $47 million every year.
