Think positive thoughts. It'll determine how effective you'll be at work today:
Bottom Line: The concept of positive thinking resulting in better outcomes is far from new. There have been a myriad of life coaches, books (perhaps most notably the "Power of Positive Thinking"), motivational speakers, etc. that have spoken to the benefits of being positive. We now have a specific outcome in your daily work life that's attributed to being positive.
A research team led by folks from the University of Warwick - have pin pointed the impact at 10%. Simply put those who start their day with a positive frame of mind perform an average of 10% better than the days in which the same people start with a negative frame of mind.
It's always easier to say that we should focus on the positives - than to execute with that mindset daily - but it's clearly a worthwhile endeavor.
