Update - Ding-dong Vista's dead:

Bottom Line: About a month ago I mentioned that April 10th would be the last day that Microsoft would be offering support for the legacy OS (that wasn't exactly Microsoft's finest effort). That day has come and gone and as promised Microsoft has pulled the plug. What that means going forward is that if the OS is compromised you're on you own. For that reason it's not safe for you to continue to operate a Vista OS online. It's also highly unlikely that any machine you're operating Vista on will have the capacity or is worthwhile to upgrade to a new OS. This means that it's time to buy a new computer if you find yourself in this situation. Even a cost efficient (sub-$300) entry level PC will likely be a significant upgrade over what you'd been using.
