Florida's job growth was awesome in March...:

Florida's job growth was awesome in March...:

Bottom Line: After an atypical month of below average job growth in February - Florida's job growth in March bounced back exceptionally well. Here were highlight's from Florida's ADP private sector jobs report:

By Select Industries:

  • Manufacturing 2,100
  • Trade, Transportation and Utilities 3,300
  • Natural Resources/Mining and Construction 4,200
  • Professional and Business Services 5,300
So there's good news all over the place here. First, after two months of negative manufacturing job growth in Florida, we saw a surge with one of the top three months for manufacturing job growth within the past decade. Florida exhibited across the board strength and breadth of job gains as we added a total of 27,200 private sector jobs for the month. With 263,000 private sector jobs being added nationally in the ADP Report (which stands in conflict with the BLS number for March), Florida accounted for 10.3% of the job growth nationally and we have just 6.3% of the population. In other words, Florida's job growth outperformed the national average by 63%. Yay us!
