Tired of passwords? So is Microsoft - the future is now:
Bottom Line: Ever since the first time I used my fingerprint for security on a mobile device I've longed for the end of traditional passwords wherever possible. Fingerprints are infinity more secure, aren't forgotten, don't have to be reset, and at least as of now, aren't hacked.
Over the past couple of years, companies have been progressively moving into the fingerprint app authentication process. From my home security system to banking and investment apps - I've loved the adaptation to fingerprints for each one to add the option. Still passwords largely rule most day-to-day business life. That could be about to end however. Microsoft has taken a significant step forward to put an end to passwords wherever they're found.
Microsoft developed an Authenticator app... Microsoft's new app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, allows you to use the app to access third party services without having to input username and password info once you've set up the accounts in the app. This is bridge technology on the way to eliminating passwords altogether. Until we get there using this app can make them seem as though they don't exist on your mobile devices.
