The best way to become a better manager is obvious and easy but most don't do it:

If you find yourself not being honest and direct - albeit - in a professional manner, Suzy would suggest that you're doing a disservice to your employees and probably yourself as well. If you feel as though you can't be honest and direct with your employees, you probably aren't going to be a better manager because that probably means that you don't have the right employees in the first place.
So it might be slightly uncomfortable if you're used to political correctness and carefully crafted messaging but if you want to help your employees grow professionally (and perhaps personally as well), it's worth doing.
