Florida's job growth was exceptionally...average in April:
Bottom Line: After an awesome month of job growth for Florida in March...we were had an exceedingly average one in April. From Florida's ADP Report - here are the highlights:
Non-farm Private Employment: 11,100*
- Trade, Transportation and Utilities 1,800
- Manufacturing 1,300
- Professional and Business Services 1,300
- Natural Resources/Mining and Construction 900
So just average were we last month? There were 177,000 private sectors jobs added nationally last month. We accounted for 6.3% of the jobs added nationally in April & we have 6.3% of the population. At least we had solid solid growth across all sectors. Also it looks like the January & February manufacturing slump was an aberration as we've snapped back meaningfully that last two months.
