Who's the best digital assistant available on your iPhone right now? It's not Siri:
Bottom Line: You'd think that the native digital assistant on your Apple device would be the go to for all of your voice commands but, at least according to one expert, that's not the case.
CNBC's Todd Haselton conducted a side-by-side test of Apple's Siri and Google's new "Google Assistant" for the iPhone. He asked ten different questions that might be effectual for the average user. Based on the results pulled by each assistant here were his findings:
- Apple has one superior result
- Google's results were best for five
- Four ties (similar results)
So the easy winner was the Google assistant on the iPhone. Todd noted that the timeliness (more current/relevant answers) and more depth were most common with the Google results. So if you frequently use voice commands for your mobile devices, it's probably a good idea to make use of Google's assistant regardless of the brand of the device you're using.
