Hysterical Media Headlines (funny or absurd) for June 16th:
Bottom Line: A day after identifying that even on a solemn day in American history, the media are generally more interested in sensationalism than pragmatism, we're back to illustrating how truly biased and outrageous reporting has become.
I've ID'd some in the media as generally being Godless, soulless and slanderous (the Godless/soulless thing is a theory...The slanderous part - that's pretty real). I've decided to grab some of the most outrageous headlines to illustrate the point of just how outrageous it's become. Here are today's examples:
The Russia Investigation Is Now Inside the Oval Office Chris Cillizza, CNN
Beware of Republican Calls to 'Tamp Down' Criticism of Trump Jeremy Stahl, Slate
Public Theater Should Cancel Its Trump Assassination Play Daniel Henninger, WSJ
Will Republicans Ever Return to Sanity on Gun Control? Bob Cesca, Salon
I have a separate story today about the absurdity of the gun control argument. It was predictable that bigoted leftists would attempt to use the evil carried out in Alexandria to their benefit
The material here is amazing and wonderful in it's absurdity simultaneously. Once again, if you look at these through the prism of Donald Trump being President, and more elected Republicans serving in the United States since the 1920's...it's pretty hilarious! The air of desperation, advocacy and instructions for their "resistance" is comical. These people really do take themselves completely seriously!
