According to new research from Global Workplace Analystics and FlexJobs the past decade (2005-2015 in the study), has resulted in a boom in at-work work but it's still a small part of the overall workforce. At-home work was defied as having more than half of work being done from a private location. Here were the highlights:

  • 115% increase in at-home work
  • 3.9 million people who now work predominantly from home
  • The largest companies are the most likely to offer these types of jobs
  • 20% growth in at-home job postings has occurred withing the past year
  • The Federal Government is the largest at-home employer
  • These jobs average $4,000 more per year (full-time)
