A record number of Americans are "side-hustling" - if you have a 2nd job you've got a lot of company:
Bottom Line: It's easier than ever before to find a flexible way to earn extra money. In the era of services like UBER & Lyft - many have found ways to work a little extra work into their lives. According to Bankrate.com, a record 44 million Americans in the workforce are earning money for a 2nd job (or side-hustle😉). That means that nearly 1 in 3 people working are working other jobs on the side. Pretty remarkable. The younger people are the more likely they are to be working second jobs.
Adults under 26 are the most likely to be working multiple jobs but those over 52 are the ones earning the most money by doing so. For those over 52 working a 2nd job, they average $1000+ per month from that 2nd stream of income. This continues to show that many, if not most, Americans are hard working and desirous of working hard, to achieve what they need or want to achieve.
