Florida's job growth surged in June:

Bottom line:  After a disappointing report for May, Florida's job growth (the worst relative month of job growth Florida's had for over a year), we bounced back with solid job growth that easily outpaced the rest of the country according to ADP's private sector jobs report. Here were the highlights for June:

  • +4,100 jobs in Professional & business services
  • +1,300 jobs in Trade, Transportation & Utilities
  • +500 jobs in Natural Resources/Mining & Construction
  • +100 jobs in Manufacturing

Total jobs added: 13,500

With 158,000 jobs added nationally Florida accounted for 8.5% of all jobs added nationally. With just 6.3% of the population in our state that's job growth that 40% better than average.
