- Gas prices are another penny lower today. The statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.49 per gallon. In Southeast Florida prices range from an average low of $3.54 per gallon in Broward to an average high of $3.69 per gallon in the Palm Beaches.
- New COVID-19 cases have hit the lowest levels in over three months in Florida. With fewer than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases reported yesterday, Florida’s weekly trend for daily COVID-19 cases has fallen to 4,616 daily cases, the lowest since May 5th.
- The Florida Supreme Court rejected an emergency motion filed by abortion providers seeking to overturn the state’s 15-week limit on abortions in most situations.
- After recently rolling out a piolet toll discount program for frequent toll road users, Governor DeSantis has announced an expanded proposal which would span Florida’s 2023 fiscal year. Under the proposal, which requires legislative approval, SunPass and E-PASS users with 40 or more monthly transactions would receive a 50% credit on their bills monthly. According to state figures 750,000 Floridians would benefit by saving an average of $550 annually.
