  • Gas prices are another penny lower today. The statewide average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is now $3.48 per gallon. In Southeast Florida prices range from an average low of $3.54 per gallon in Broward to an average high of $3.69 per gallon in the Palm Beaches. 
  • New COVID-19 cases have hit the lowest levels in over three months in Florida. With fewer than 3,000 new COVID-19 cases reported yesterday, Florida’s weekly trend for daily COVID-19 cases has fallen to 4,378 daily cases, the lowest since May 4th.  
  • Denver based Frontier Airlines, which recently failed in its bid to buy Miramar based Spirit Airlines, has announced an expansion into Florida. Starting November 5th, Frontier will operate nonstop flights in Tampa and Fort Lauderdale. The FLL service will start with nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale and Cleveland.  
  • Travel + Leisure’s 2022 World’s Best Awards have been issued and there’s a new #1 resort in Florida. Palm Beaches’ White Elephant took the top spot in the state and is #2 overall in the Continental United States and 19th in the World. Incidentally, rounding out the top five in Florida. Little Palm Island Resort & Spa, Little Torch Key, Sandpearl Resort, Clearwater, The Colony Hotel, Palm Beach, The collector Luxury Inn & Gardens, St. Augustine.
