Today’s Entry: Yep, it’s time to take a step back and re-evaluate things. Mandatory jabs should be a thing of the past. Requiring visitors to our country to be fully vaxed should stop. We have millions walking across our border. We can admit mistakes and be forgiven. Americans are good at that.

Bottom Line: Today’s note is in response to my reporting from Friday in which the Florida Department of Health dropped a bombshell about COVID-19 vaccines. The bombshell specifically... An alarming increase in adverse reactions to vaccines reported over the prior two years on the back of the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines. And actually, the size of the jump was so significant, alarming might not even be the best way to describe it. Perhaps radical would be the better fit? That’s because the jump in medically concerning cases to Florida’s Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, have skyrocketed over the past two years with the rollout of COVID-19 vaccines and the steady stream of boosters administered ever since. By the numbers...

According to the Florida Department of Health Floridians have experienced:

  • A 400% increase in total vaccinations
  • A 1,700% increase in adverse reactions to vaccines reported to the state’s database
  • A 4,400% increase in potentially life-threatening conditions

The numbers are big numbers, however they’re rather straightforward to understand. Since COVID-19 vaccines have arrived on the scene we’ve had a 400% increase in total vaccinations administered in the state compared to pre-COVID times. So, if COVID vaccines were as safe as what we’d been used to with existing vaccinations, we’d have seen a 400% increase in adverse reactions to them. Instead, what we’ve seen is the largest increase in adverse reactions in the history of the current reporting system. And about that...

The Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System has been the country’s database of record for every potential adverse reaction to any vaccine administered for 33 years. The data maintained is a matter of public record and is accessible at all times. As for how it works... Under federal law every healthcare provider must report any potentially adverse reaction to any administered vaccine. So that there isn’t subjectivity at the medical service provider level there are five pages of possible reactions that they’re legally bound to report. What this means is that if someone didn’t have a known condition prior to receiving a vaccine but are found to have a new condition after receiving the vaccine, they must be reported. Related to death, if someone dies after receiving a vaccine, that death must be reported as well. This mandatory reporting shows a big picture view of the possible. Adding another layer of transparency in the process is Florida’s system. The state maintains the vaccine database for all Floridians. This means the database can be cross referenced to verify Florida’s reporting. With all of this unfiltered data being available and transparent, we know the view of the possible independent of what a particular administrator might suggest based on their own analysis.

So now, having had two years' worth of data on COVID-19 vaccines in Florida we now know that those who’ve received them have been:

  • 4.25 times more likely to have a negative medical reaction to them which is significant enough to be officially recorded
  • 11 times more likely to have a negative medical reaction to them which could be life threatening

And yet what’s remarkable is that as Dr. Joseph Ladapo was attempting to draw attention to these incredible realities last week – what have you read or heard outside of me? Yes, a smattering of news organizations picked up the story – lightly and quickly covering it. No, this hasn’t received the comprehensive attention that it should. To the point of the points made in today's note – you're right that mandatory COVID-vaccinations for anything are absurd. And yes, health authorities should acknowledge the mistakes they made with them. Now, in Florida we were proactive in this regard long ago banning the practice of mandatory COVID vaccinations. And likewise, Florida’s Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo spoke extensively to the issues with the vaccines. The question is how many listened? Even our state and at times local news media has treated him with an utter lack of the respect he’s earned. In large part because he’s been proven to have been right all along – as was Governor DeSantis.
