- Gas prices dropped a bit through the weekend. Statewide the average price for regular unleaded is $3.29 per gallon – a penny lower than a week ago. In Palm Beach County the price is $3.53 per gallon, the highest price in the state.
- Florida’s Democratic Party Elected former Agriculture Commissioner Nikki Fried, who failed in her gubernatorial bid last year, to lead the party following a record performance by Republicans in last year’s midterm election cycle. Fried, which represents the progressive wing of the party, pledged to take it to Ron DeSantis every day.
- An estimated 100,000 people visited Lake Worth Beaches’ Street Painting Festival over the weekend. The largest of its kind festival in the country brought an estimated $4 million in additional revenue to the community. Business owners have reported doing two weeks' worth of business over the two days of the festival. Speaking of economic impact...
- The final Honda Classic is in the books generating an estimated $40 million in economic impact from 200,000 visitors during the tournament. Chris Kirk was the winner. The tournament, which has been sponsored by Honda since 1982, is currently evaluating new potential title sponsors after Honda decided to end the 42-year relationship with the tournament.
